June 15, 2008 Please help make the 14th Annual Fellowship Auction a huge success! Help recruit local businesses to donate items and services. Please ask the businesses you patronize to support the auction. If you’re willing to help recruit businesses this summer before the fall fundraiser rush, please contact Heather Marshall or Rachel Setzke or email
September 1, 2008 Start thinking about what you want to offer! Contracts may be entered ONLINE or at the Fellowship between Sunday Services throughout September.
We know you are a creative and talented bunch of people, so don’t be shy about sharing!
Be sure to submit your contract by the September 28 deadline!
Fellowship Auction Overview
This 14th Annual Fellowship Auction is our primary BVUUF FUNdraiser! This event offers unique opportunities for you to have fun and get to know other people in the Fellowship through interesting and sometimes unusual events. The Auction also raises funds to support the Fellowship and its mission to help bring love and reason to life.
FUN EVENTS, PARTIES, VALUABLE SERVICES, GOURMET FOOD, ORIGINAL ARTWORK & MORE will be offered.
Here are some great ideas for you to consider offering:
- Donate original works of art or crafts — we know you are talented!
- Host or cater a gourmet, ethnic or theme, dinner or brunch
- Give a concert, show a movie, host a discussion (You know how much UU’s love to discuss!)
- Throw a party for adults, families or kids
- Sponsor an outing (swim party, bird walk, skiing, hike)
- Take people to a concert, theater, sporting event or lunch at a cool local restaurant
- Teach a class in yoga, painting, writing, cooking, dance, crafts, quilting, woodworking, or computer skills
- Offer your services to walk a dog, house sit, paint a room, sew or mend clothing, fix a broken fence, provide transportation, or plant a garden
- Offer professional services to prepare a will, give a massage, create a web page, or set up a computer system
- Donate a resort or condo for a week or a weekend
- Offer to bake cookies, cake or pie, or prepare a frozen meal.

CHILDCARE will be available! Please email Susan Paulson with the age(s) of the child(ren) for whom you will need childcare so you can be carefree on Auction Day!

Important Dates & Timeline
DONATION CONTRACTS Until September 28th, 2007. It’s easy! Simply fill out a “Contract” describing your event or service. You can do this at Sunday services throughout September or using the Online Auction Contract . There is no limit to the number of items, events or services you may offer!

AUCTION DAY is Saturday, OCTOBER 11th, 2008
- Silent Auction: 2:30-4:30 p.m.
- Live Auction: 4:30-5:00 p.m.
A preliminary auction catalog is available for the 2008 Live Auction.
A preliminary auction catalog also is available for the 2008 Silent Auction.
Online bidding is available Oct. 3 through 9 for those who are unable to attend the auction.
How to Contribute
Note: the deadline for submitting Auction Contracts is Sunday, September 28th
It’s easy and fun to participate! Stop by the Auction Table at Sunday Services during September where Auction Committee members will answer your questions, offer suggestions for item donations and assist with contracts. We need everyone’s involvement to make this another successful auction!
Option 1
Avoid writer’s cramp!!! — toss that pencil or pen, throw out those paper forms. You don’t need ‘em, because you can submit your Auction Contract ONLINE, here
Option 2
You can download a Microsoft Word version of the Auction Contract from this web site to your hard drive, open it up in Microsoft Word, then type in the details in the spaces provided. Of course, you will need Microsoft Word on your computer to do this.
Instructions to download the Microsoft Word version of the contract form:
- Download the form: 2008 Auction Contract (DOC)
- Open the document, and type in details in the spaces provided.
- Fill out a separate copy of the Auction Contract for each item you are donating.
- Send an e-mail addressed to , with your auction contract(s) attached or return it to the Auction table during Sunday service or the Auction mailbox in the office.
Option 3
Download a PDF version of the form: 2008 Auction Contract . Print a copy of the form, fill it out by hand and return it to the Auction table during Sunday service or the Auction mailbox in the office.
Option 4
Pick up blank Auction Contract forms at the Auction table after Sunday Services in September, complete them, and return them to the Auction table by September 28th.

Bidding Instructions
- Come to the Auction on October 11 to bid on all the items and events you want!
- If you want to BID, but are UNABLE TO ATTEND the Auction, you have three options:
- YOU MAY BID ONLINE between October 3 and October 9 by following these easy steps:
- Send an email to to register and receive your bid number by email. (Please indicate if you also need a bid number for a spouse or partner as only one name will appear on the invoice.)
- Download and view the 2008 Live Auction Catalog.
- Download and view the 2008 Silent Auction Catalog.
- Create an online bid with the Online Bid Form.
- YOU MAY EARLY BID at BVUUF between Sunday Services on October 22nd . Stop by the Auction Table and we will show you how.
- YOU MAY BID ONLINE between October 3 and October 9 by following these easy steps:
- WINNERS will be notified and INVOICES will be sent by US Mail.
- PAYMENT is due to BVUUF within 60 days of billing. (No money is collected on Auction Day.)
Important Note: It is the BUYER’S responsibility to contact the donor to arrange fulfillment of contracts.
